The predecessor to the Endeavour Jazz Orchestra's Duke Wellington Project, the Duke Wellington Orchestra was created in 2013 and maintained a regular engagement at the Wellington club, Meow. Naturally dedicated to the performance and recording of the work of Duke Ellington and Billy Strayhorn, the Duke Wellington Project will release a series of recordings starting with Jeep's Blues, featuring alto saxophonist Dick Oatts, The Far East Suite, and Ellington/Strayhorn's Nutcracker.
